Nothing Says Christmas Like …Crime?: Ce's Holiday Movie Picks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s also somehow the busiest and most expensive. So when the day’s over, we need to relax! In the spirit of the holidays we’re already celebrating and those coming up, Team CE shared their go-to films for feeling festive. While some of these are traditional flicks, there was an unexpected theme of crime among the selections. We guess nothing invokes that warm and cheerful feeling like a little lawlessness?

Jen’s Holiday Flick Pick: Elf

“Because ‘I’ll call you in five minutes.’”

Where to watch it: Elf is streaming on Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Max.

Abigail’s Holiday Flick Pick: Clue

“Helmed by the brilliant Tim Curry, Clue has to be one of my favorite festive movies. Murder in the library with a candlestick? Flames on the side of my face? Monkey brains for Mrs. Peacock. Timeless. Classic. Always on during the holidays.”

Where to watch it: Clue is streaming on Prime Video, Paramount+ and FuboTV.

Nakiya’s Holiday Flick Pick: Almost Christmas

“I simply can not chose between this and This Christmas. I love chaotic families coming together for a happy ending”

Jordana’s Holiday Flick Pick: Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

“There isn't a more iconic duo than the Wet Bandits.”

Where to watch it: Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

Kelly’s Holiday Flick Pick: A Charlie Brown Christmas

Mma’s (and Nakiya’s) Holiday Flick Pick: This Christmas

“When This Christmas came out, my high school rented out a theater room at Del Amo mall for a screening and literally everybody came out. It was one of the funnest, most random, and rare holiday experiences that make them special.”

Where to watch it: This Christmas is streaming on Peacock, Hulu, and FuboTV.

Nikki’s Holiday Flick Pick: The Santa Clause

“It’s funny, heart warming, magical and the character arc for Scott Calvin aka Santa Claus played by Tim Allen is so well written and executed."

Where to watch it: The Santa Clause is streaming on Disney+.

Steph’s Holiday Flick Pick: The Godfather

“The Godfather is always playing on repeat during the holidays, and it is a tradition that my family and I enjoy watching together.”

Where to watch it: The Godfather is available to rent on Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

Soph’s Holiday Flick Pick: Klaus

“It makes me cry. It’s amazing. I like the originality of the story”
